  • Quesadilla Bun Burger

I don't know where to put this since it 's part grill, part kitchen, part beef and part other. I'm also going to just call it a Q Burger.

So the parts needed: ground sirloin, flour tortillas, sharp cheddar, colbyjack, jalapenos, tomatoes, some romain lettuce, salt and pepper. Also, sour cream is excellent as a dipping side.

To start, each burger requires 1/2# of burger meat. Make the patty slightly bigger than the tortilla so everything fits when done.

Slice up the jalapenos, tomatoes and chop the lettuce.

For the quesadilla part, you'll need 2 for the buns. I mixed the cheeses and put some jalapeno slices in there. Then, I put a little olive oil in my new carbon steel pan. I made a total of 4.

For the burgers, they went on the grill with a little bit of tri tip rub on them and cooked to med rare. The ground sirloin worked great since a leaner beef works better given the situation and it was on sale

Well, more cheese is good. So I added some more to the burgers and let them rest to also hold down on the juices and keep it in the burger:

Then, it's just a matter of putting it together. Add the tomato, lettuce, some salt and CBP:

Then just add the top and quarter it. I served this with a side of sour cream which really works with this. Kids didn't even reach for any ketchup.

So all told, these were Excellent even if I do say so myself. The entire family loved them. I'm thrilled I ran across this recipe so I wanted to pass this along to all of you.

Thanks for looking and give it a shot.
