  • Waited all Summer for a tomato BLT TIME!

Went out to water the ladies, and found a ripe one. Had to make a BLT! Nothing out of the ordinary, but a few minor G-man twists.
I like to use shredded/chopped lettuce. I add the mayo to the lettuce and make a little slaw. In this case besides the mayo(which is Hellman's/Best Foods in these parts) I added a few dashes of Frank's™. I like to use "bolillo" rolls. Then it's just slice cook assemble eat.

I don’t eat them until I know they were picked within a couple days. Yum.

PS: The chopped lettuce is a good idea, but consider a full leaf on the top and bottom of the bun. Shields juices from sogging it out.

Possibly my favorite sandwich. Next to a good Reuben, maybe.

Congrats on your patience. A long time to wait for your first mater.

We had BLT's with fresh garden tomatoes for dinner last night. Great minds think alike.

It was tough growing a lot of things this year. I blame weather modification at it's highest and filtered sunlight. At least you got to enjoy a taste of the fruit of your labor, lt looks like an awesome sandwich, and we had quite a few but not so fancy. Always a treat

Thanks. Trust me I only try the presentations when I take the picture for y'all. Most of my sandwiches are slapped together haphazardly.

And thanks to the others for the nice words. Much appreciated.
